About

Boudoir (“boo-dwahr” or “boo-dwa”) is a french word meaning a woman’s private dressing room/bedroom.

Big Tent Boudoir

Boudoir Photography can mean different things to different people. At Best In Boudoir, we believe in a big tent definition of boudoir. We love photos that some could be called glamor, lingerie, Art nude, pin up and more. We will feature photos of models and non-model. We will share photos taken indoors or outdoors. And we will make every effort to feature people of all sizes, races, ethnic groups and genders. The photos we highlight may contain full nudity or none at all. We will support equally the creative who makes private images and the content creators who make images to sell.

In short : We love this genre of photography and all the creatives that make it.

The Comunity

The Best In Boudoir community is a worldwide mix of Photographers, Models, Clients, hair & makeup artist, and fans that love boudoir photography. While fans make up a significant portion of our community Best In Boudoir is primarily a resource for photographers, models and other types of content creator. We hope to become a trusted resource for the creatives in boudoir.

Founder & Chief Editor

Hi, I’m Jamal Williams, a photographer living in Houston Tx. I operate Jamal Williams Intimate Portraits a boudoir and intimate lifestyle photography studio. Since discovering photography in my early 30’s I’ve tried most genres but really found my passion in street photography and boudoir.

On 4/2/18 I created two Instagram accounts to share my love of boudoir photography. Best In Boudoir & Everyday Boudoir I felt that too many dismissed the art and creativity of all the amazing work being produced because the subject was primarily scantly clad women. The detractors would ask, “How hard can it be?”.

In my experience creating amazing boudoir photos is one of the most challenging tasks I’ve ever attempted as a photographer. Not only do you have the same technical challenges of any portrait photographer, but you need to do it while also creating an environment that lets someone feel comfortable showing themselves with all their potential insecurities and body issues on display.

I wanted to promote the creatives that inspired me and hopefully inspire others to create amazing work too. Since then both accounts grew to around 40K followers until Eber
